The Old Lyric Hall, a heritage gem steeped in history, was originally built in the 1860s. Over the years, it served as both an entertainment venue and a vibrant sports hall however, this historic landmark had been vacant for a number of years and required significant remedial works. St David Group has lovingly restored the property and it is now a quality aparthotel. It boasts a delicate balance between modern refinement and the preservation of its original architectural splendour, maintaining its timeless charm and distinctive character.

Our role at JCA Consulting was to complete a monitoring role, an initial site visit to report on the current condition of the property, followed by a series of visits during the works on site to ensure that all works completed were done in line with the original specifications and architectural drawings.  it was our job to issue a Professional Consultants Certificate a document confirming that the project has been completed satisfactorily, monitored by a professional and signed off by a qualified surveyor. It states that the construction work conforms to planning permissions, building regulations, and other associated contracts. With a commitment to preserving the building's character extending to the restoration of the roof, external walls, windows, and doors, all designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing architecture. The landscaping of the courtyard complements the building's charm, creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment.
