GREENHOLME MILLS, BURLEY IN WHARFEDALE

JCA Consulting provided Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services for the redevelopment of Greenholme Mills, Burley in Wharfedale, supporting the transformation of the existing mill into an impressive residential development.

The project included the conversion of the historic mill building to create 60 apartments and townhouses. The development progressed through a number of phases, allowing residents to begin occupying completed homes while work continued across the wider site.

Phase 2 reached completion with residents moving into a number of the new apartments. Meanwhile, Phase 3 comprised a further 14 apartments and four townhouses.

The subsequent phases included six semi-detached properties, nine cottages and additional café and office accommodation. Together, these elements created a varied development while giving the former mill and surrounding site a new purpose.

Throughout the project, JCA Consulting supported the client as both Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent. Our team provided commercial and project support across the phased development, helping to manage the delivery of new homes alongside the sensitive redevelopment of the existing mill.

The Greenholme Mills Burley in Wharfedale project is a strong example of the successful reuse of an existing building to create high-quality residential accommodation while retaining the character and heritage of the original site.
